why should a Muslim establish everyday 5 daily regular prayer?
All praise be to ALLAAH alone.
This article covers the Importance of Establishment of Regular prayer of Prophets (peace be upon them all) before the final prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
1.)Surah Hud(11), Verse 87:::They said: “O Shu’aib! Does your Salat (prayer) (i.e. the prayers which you offer has spoiled your mind, so you) command that we leave off what our fathers used to worship, or that we leave off doing what we like with our property? Verily, you are the forbearer, right-minded!” (They said this sarcastically).(English – Mohsin Khan)
•••>Every messenger’s duty was to preach ALLAAH’s message and call to people to worship ALLAAH alone. But if we exquisitely observe the verse. People of Shu’aib (peace be upon him) conserved with him. They cited shu’aib (peace be upon him) ‘s As salat first as a result of his invitation to worship ALLAAH alone. Thus even so invitation towards ALLAAH,Azza wa Jal is important duty but first and foremost obligatory duty is Establishment of everyday 5 daily prayers.
2.)Surah Taha(20), Verse 14:::”Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance./(English – Mohsin Khan)/
•••>From the above verse when ALLAAH, Subhanahu wa Ta’ala made moses(Peace be upon him) as His Messenger & The first activity He gave to him was Establishment of salat
3.)Surah Luqman(31), Verse 17:::”O my son! Aqim-is-Salat (perform As-Salat), enjoin (people) for Al-Ma’ruf (Islamic Monotheism and all that is good), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief in the Oneness of Allah, polytheism of all kinds and all that is evil and bad), and bear with patience whatever befall you. Verily! These are some of the important commandments ordered by Allah with no exemption.(English – Mohsin Khan)
•••>Prophet Luqman(peace be upon him) admonished his son many good things but he first admonished him to establish everyday Salat.
4.)Surah Maryam, Verse 31:::”And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live.”(English – Mohsin Khan)
•••>In the defense of his mother maryam(peace be upon her), Jesus (peace be upon him) spoke while he was at age of cradle, by ALLAAH’s leave, The very first command which ALLAAH gave to him was “and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer),”.
Alhamdulillah, There many verses in Qur’an which highlight the importance of Establishment of everyday Salat.
