why should a Muslim establish everyday 5 daily regular prayer?
ALLAAH la ilaha illa huwa, rabb ul ‘Arshil Azeem
(ALLAAH, There is no God but He, Lord of Mighty Throne)
In previous part http://wp.me/p83FdL-26 we have covered some Qur’anic verses. In this article, InshaALLAAH, we shall cover more information on this topic with other Qur’anic verses.
(a)Surah Al-Baqara(2), Verse 45:::And seek help in patience and As-Salat (the prayer) and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for Al-Khashi’un [i.e. the true believers in Allah – those who obey Allah with full submission, fear much from His Punishment, and believe in His Promise (Paradise, etc.) and in His Warnings (Hell, etc.)].(English – Mohsin Khan)
(b)Surah Al-Baqara(2), Verse 153:::O you who believe! Seek help in patience and As-Salat (the prayer). Truly! Allah is with As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).(English – Mohsin Khan)
Even at time of travails ALLAAH, subhanahu wa Ta’ala commanded to seek help through Patience and As salat. From this we can understand how important As salat is. On contrary many people leave As salaah when they afflicted with travails.
(2) Surah Al-Maeda, Verse 106:::O you who believe! When death approaches any of you, and you make a bequest, then take the testimony of two just men of your own folk or two others from outside, if you are travelling through the land and the calamity of death befalls you. Detain them both after As-Salat (the prayer), (then) if you are in doubt (about their truthfulness), let them both swear by Allah (saying): “We wish not for any worldly gain in this, even though he (the beneficiary) be our near relative. We shall not hide Testimony of Allah, for then indeed we should be of the sinful.”(English – Mohsin Khan)
If we clearly observe the above ALLAAH ‘s verse, when traveling out of the town if calamity of death befalls, it is necessary to take the witness of 2 men outside of our family, at the time of bequest but but but If at the same time, time of As salat approaches ALLAAH ordered to detain the witnessess after As-Salat, so that first As-Salat can be performed and then the process of bequest can be carried.
(3)Surah Ibrahim(14), Verse 31:::Say (O Muhammad SAW) to ‘Ibadi (My slaves) who have believed, that they should perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), …(English – Mohsin Khan)
Anyone who have believed or call himself as muslim, it is clear from above verse ALLAAH, Ta’ala first commanded them to Establish As-Salat.
(4)Surah Ibrahim(14), Verse 37:::”O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in an uncultivable valley by Your Sacred House (the Ka’bah at Makkah); in order, O our Lord, that they may perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat),...(English- Mohsin Khan)
In a desert land like Mecca Ibrahim(peace be upon him) left his son Ismael(peace be upon him) for only reason that his son might first learnt the Establishment of As-Salat.
(5)Surah Taha(20), Verse 132:::And enjoin As-Salat (the prayer) on your family, and be patient in offering them [i.e. the Salat (prayers)]…English – Mohsin Khan)
In entire Quran ALLAAH, Tabaarak wa Ta’ala did not single out any obligation as He did with As-Salat and said to enjoin it upon our family members. That’s the importance of As-Salat .
Surah Ibrahim, Verse 40:::”O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and (also) from my offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation.(English – Mohsin Khan)
ALLAAH knows Best
