why should a Muslim establish everyday 5 daily regular prayer?
la ilaha illa LLAAHu wahadahu la sharika lahu
(There is no God but ALLAAH, One, He has no patners)
This is the last article relating to this topic and Alhamdulillah, we have covered this topic through ahadith in pervious part Importance of Iqam as salat (establishment of everyday 5 daily prayers) (Part IV) .
Now, InshaALLAAH, we shall shed more light through more ahadith
1.) people of jannah(paradise) are few because only few people establish regular prayer
It was narrated that Abdullah in ‘Umar said:
“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘There are two qualities which no Muslim person attains but he will enter Paradise, and they are easy, but those who do them are few.’ The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘The five daily prayers:……”
Sunan an-Nasa’i 1349
•••> Now the time is in our hands either to reserve our seat in paradise or cancel it and threw ourselves into HellFire
2.) Another one salvation and security way to jannah (Paradise)
Suhaib narrated that he heard Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa’eed say:
“The Messenger of Allah addressed us one day and said: ‘By the One in Whose hand is my soul’ three times then he lowered his head, and each of us lowered his head, weeping, and we did not know what he had sworn that oath about. Then he raised his head with joy on his face, and that was dearer to us than red camels. Then he said: ‘There is no one who offers the five (daily) prayers, fasts Ramadan, pays Zakah and avoid the seven major sins, but the gates of Paradise will be opened to him, and it will be said to him: Enter in peace.”‘
Sunan an-Nasa’i 2440
•••> Now no way to escape but to surrender before ALLAAH, subhanahu wa Ta’ala that is only our salvation or else Hell Fire is the abode, a clear warning
3.) Five things which lead you to jannah (Paradise), your upcoming abode, among them
Abu al-Darda’ reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying:
There are five thing, if anyone observe them with faith, he will enter Paradise. He who prays the five times prayer regularly, with the ablution for them, with their bowing, with their prostration and their (right) times ; keeps fast during Ramadan ; performs Hajj (pilgrimage) to the House (Ka’bah), provided he has the ability for its passage; pays Zakat happily ; and fulfills the trust (he will enter Paradise). People said: Abu al-Darda’, what is fulfilling the trust ? He replied: Washing because of sexual defilement.
Sunan Abi Dawud 429
—> What an importance! What an importance! what an importance!
4.) Pray five times daily & the promise of ALLAAH is paradise or if neglect, pray irregularly like 2 times a day, when your heart wishes, when you have free, when are in weekends the promise of ALLAAH is Hell Fire.
Narrated Abu Qatadah ibn Rib’iyy:
Allah , the Exalted said: I made five times’ prayers obligatory on your people, and I took a guarantee that if anyone observes them regularly at their times, I shall admit him to Paradise; if anyone does not offer them regularly, there is no such guarantee of Mine for him.
Sunan Abi Dawud 430
•••>ALLAAH, Azza wa Jal himself declared the importance of iqam as salat in this hadith
5.) who neglects or prays irregularly is munafiq (hypocrite) & who abandons is kaafir(disbeliever)
Abd Allah b. Mas’ud said:
Persevere in observing these five times of prayer where the announcement for them is made, because they are from the paths of right guidance. And Allah, the Might, the Majestic, has laid down for his prophet (ﷺ) the paths of right guidance. I have seen the time when no one stayed away from prayer except a hypocrite whose hypocrite was well known. I witnessed the time when a man would be brought swaying between two men till he was set up in the row (of the prayer). Every one of us has a mosque of his in his house. If you were to pray in your houses and stay from your mosques. You would abandon the Sunnah (practice) of your prophet, and if you were Abandon the Sunnah (Practice) of your Prophet, you would become an unbeliever.(sahih)
Sunan Abi Dawud 550
—> Whoever prays namaz or salaah irregularly (not daily), he is misguided
Surah Ibrahim(14), Verse 40:::”O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and (also) from my offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation.(English – Mohsin Khan)
