Waqit as salaah (Timings of prayer)

ALLAAH is the Lord of Mercy & Forgiveness

Surah An-Nisa(4), Verse 103:

Verily, the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours.

Here, InshaALLAAH, we shall see Timings of 5 compulsory prayer from Qur’an verses

(1)Surah Hud(11), Verse 114:

And perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), at the two ends of the day and in some hours of the night [i.e. the five compulsory Salat (prayers)]

(2) Surah Al-Isra(17), Verse 78:

Perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) from mid-day till the darkness of the night (i.e. the Zuhr, ‘Asr, Maghrib, and ‘Isha’ prayers), and recite the Quran in the early dawn (i.e. the morning prayer).

(3)Surah Taha(20), Verse 130:

…and glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting, and during some of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day (an indication for the five compulsory congregational prayers), …

(4)Surah Ar-Room(30), Verse 17-18

(17)So glorify Allah [above all that (evil) they associate with Him (O believers)], when you come up to the evening [i.e. offer the (Maghrib) sunset and (‘Isha’) night prayers], and when you enter the morning [i.e. offer the (Fajr) morning prayer].
(18)And His is all the praises and thanks in the heavens and the earth, and (glorify Him) in the afternoon (i.e. offer ‘Asr prayer) and when you come up to the time, when the day begins to decline (i.e. offer Zuhr prayer). (Ibn ‘Abbas said: “These are the five compulsory congregational prayers mentioned in the Quran).”

The command to pray 5 times daily

(5)Surah Qaf(50), Verse 39-40

(39)So bear with patience (O Muhammad SAW) all that they say, and glorify the Praises of your Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting (i.e. the Fajr, Zuhr, and ‘Asr prayers).
(40)And during a part of the night (also), glorify His praises (i.e. Maghrib and ‘Isha prayers),

Commanding the prophet to pray & have patience

Du’a 

Surah Ibrahim(14), Verse 40:::”O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and (also) from my offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation.(English – Mohsin Khan)
