how to avoid Shaitan’s waswasa when praying?

ANSWER

Surah Al-Jathiya(45), Verse 36:
فَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبِّ الْأَرْضِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Then Praise be to Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth,- Lord and Cherisher of all the Worlds!
(English – Yusuf Ali)

(a) Solution from Qur’an

Surah Fussilat(41), Verse 36:
وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

And if (at any time) an incitement to discord is made to thee by the Evil One, seek refuge in Allah. He is the One Who hears and knows all things.
(English – Yusuf Ali)

(b) Solution from Hadith

Uthman b. Abu al-‘As reported that he came to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and said:

Allah’s Messenger, the Satan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur’an and he confounds me. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:, That is (the doing of a) Satan (devil) who is known as Khinzab, and when you perceive its effect, seek refuge with Allah from it and spit three times to your left. I did that and Allah dispelled that from me.

reference : Sahih Muslim 2203 a

Conclusion : you can say “‘audhu billahi Mina shaitan nir rajeen” or “‘audhu billa” or any words of convince and just spit dryly

Alhamdulillah
